When Gordon Brown said he would hit the ground running

I cracked up just reading the thread title. 
In the 1970s when there was also a global downturn, some elements of the secret services and the military believed PM Harold Wilson was being influenced by extreme left wing pressure groups. They were concerned about it enough to plot a coup to remove Wilson's Labour government.
Now, at the moment we have a global downturn, and Brown is talking about nationalising the banks. If any Labour leader had suggested nationalising the banks in any recent election this would have been regarded as the absurdest of left wing ideas.
Is there any plot to remove Brown at the moment? Either through a coup, or a vote of no confidence? Or even just go and hit him over the head with a fish?
And if so, how can I support it?
