Met with an old friend today, for breakfast, and we reminisced (as you do) and I was shocked to discover that a mutual friend, about six months ago, was lured into some extreme cult in the USA. He's now cut off all contact with his wife and kids and is trying to sell the house they're in!

You hear about this stuff in the media but when it happens to people you know it's a real shock! The cult in question operates in north west USA and western Canada but we don't know the name of it. The guy I met with today says he intends to get more details.

My opinion on this is is that anyone stupid enough to join a cult, probably belongs in one.

The only difference between a cult and a religion is 2000 years of history.

All he knows is he was initially approached by way of a 'business proposal' of some sort. As and when I've got more info I'll post it.

Having said that, how far from being a cult is PH? Really? Not much.

Actually, a cult called the "Exclusive Brethren" has moved in just down the road from my parents. They are building a compound.

They don't like me because I enquired if they had any cute 17 year old daughters

Actually I made that last bit up, but it would have been funny if it was true.

Tip, if a cult shows up at your door, absolutely do not open the door and ask the 2 old ladies if they wanted to come in and play an extended game of GILF Golf.

Yeh they're a bit weird I reckon. Won't eat with people who aren't brethren. Odd.

Also won't talk, and tell their kids that non-brethren are diseased scum

Lovely people.

And they are the only people I have ever seen that have purchased one of those god awful Subaru Tribeca's or whatever they are called. Enough reason to avoid them in my books.
