You dont think DOGSEY as he just lost his job money could possibly be a bit tight, just a thought.
I work for a software company. If I was made redundant next week but really need a Porsche for a new company venture, I wouldnt think about taking one from the nearest dealer. It's not onSorry, thems the breaks
There's a trial available, a lo-cost option with Elements or freeware applications
ETA - someone on another thread recently said they bought a second owner copy of something. I dont understand how the licensing works but might be worth looking at

Surely anyone who does photography, even at hobby level , has some form of software manipulation ?When it comes to CS3/4 pricing I can see the temptation but its the price and if you want to use it you should pay. Hypocritical of me considering for some time I used CS2 on a long term evaluation, but my defence at the time was no commercial use and learning.
If you must have features of CS4 but cannot afford it then either elements or Paintshop Pro are good tools or GIMP is a feature rich free version just with a horrible interface.
Pistonheads is not a forum for discussing/seeking pirated software - torrents are for that. But as a warning several friends of mine had their PC's mysteriously crash in a big way after they updated their hooky versions of Adobe products. Without proof to suggest that perhaps the manufacture actually did anything, just as MS did with XP, they are within their rights. Also if you do seek out hooky software how sure are you of the contents of the files you install. Keygens etc are renound for hiding trojans.
If your mate is any good as a photographer then surely they already have access to software.
