Santa Monica suggestions

Popping over the California and Nevade for a long Easter Weekend.

Usually when I stay around LA, I plump for Anahiem, being seeing as I'm celebrating a birthday whilst there, I thought I'd spend a night or two in Santa Monica.

Been there during the day a couple of times, but never stayed overnight or experienced the nightlife.

Any suggestions of where to stay and where to go from the PH collective?

Probably no good to you if you want to be in Santa Monica but it's a nice place.

Hotel Carmel was very nice as were the bars and places on Third Street although that was a few years ago

But not much use for anything else.

I had a very hairy experience in a bar there a few years ago.

could have easily turned very very nasty.
