Can anyone give me an idea what I should be paying in parts for a new clutch and slave cylinder , and anywhere you would recommend I contact to buy them.
Just been told I need to replace the clutch out here in Japan - and with GBP falling out of bed like it has recently the quote is the equivalent of ....wait for it

......

5 grand !!!!

A new clutch is close to 2 grand and the slave cylinder about 750 quid.
Obviously I have told them I will source my own parts from the UK.
Still going to be close to 2 grand in labour!

Any advice , recommendations greatly appreciated.

Clutch and slave Cyl, fitted in the UK, is between £850 and £1200 depending on who you use.
Pardon me if i am being tick, but as the Value of the Pound is dropping, should not importing the parts from the UK be cheaper now?

No Mark - you are spot on, that is why I want to import the parts myself.
The dealer over here will have imported them when the pound was much stronger - hence he has them priced way up.
Any suggestions as to where I should go looking?

My clutch/slave has gone as well so i'm in same boat though thankfully not been quoted prices like that.

Try:-

or

or

Alternatively, google is your best friend, lol.

Mate, how much are you really gonna save importing it yourself? a little squeeky perhaps at the moment could cost you a shed load of grief, get yourself down to a dealer.

Cheers M3coupe - have emailed the companies you noted.
Shapeshifter - most definitely the dealer is going to fit it etc but if I can get the parts at a 1/3 of the cost by getting some one to ship them over here that has to make sense!
