Hi guys! Has anyone fitted braided hoses to the standard exige brakes? is there much of a difference?

Not fitted to mine, but drove another one and it didn't make much difference, hence not doing mine.

Decent pads make more of a difference, bigger disks a bigger difference. Will fit braided hoses when the clam is off, not worth the effort to justify the job on it's own.

I presume you're talking S2, no idea if there is more effect on the S1

Yeah S2, i already have EBC yellowstuff fitted which seem pretty good. Just trying to justify the extra to get AP's fitted.

You should get 80% of the AP big brake kit, with EP big disks and spacers on the callipers - the AP kit looks so much better though

The general feeling seems to be that yes it does make a difference but only a very slight one and barely noticable for road use. Big job as well on an S2. Keep trying to find an easy way to do mine but have pretty much put it on hold until I need the clam off for something more pressing. Even then I think it's a bit tricky with alot of the ABS unit pipework in the way.

Mine had them, drove a mates without - couldn't feel any difference. If you're going for the whole big brake setup then why not, but as a one-off mod then IMO i wouldn't bother.

Brakes are really good as standard but me and a mate took a performance pack car out and the brakes were ferocious. Could brake so late for bends etc. I priced them up before christmas but they were a bit steep.

If you can manage the expense you should do it.
I bought into a PP SP Exige just on the difference in braking alone.
I had carbon ceramics on my last car so perhaps I'm being a little harsh on the standard set-up.

ETS. The brake conversion, that is.
