On my pc, AOL likes to crash, a lot. normal plan is to shut it all down via the start menu (properly) but this doesnt always work, and it gets stuck on "saving your settings" (the bit right at the end-blue screen) and it stays on this till u switch it off at the wall. However, it also does this on the laptop.
but i cant switch that off at the wall, so how do I reboot if it gets stuck on saving your settings on my laptop....

standby button doesnt do it, cntl alt del doesnt do it, any ideas?

Unplug from mains power and then pull the battery out. Last resort obviously!

Right click on a blank area of your task bar. Shut it down from your task manager...
