User names - remove?

Thinking of changing my user name but all the similair alternatives have been used. A lot have been taken quite a few years ago by people who havn't posted. Possibly joined to advertise or just have a look.
Is there a policy of deleting non users or do they stay as a member forever?

You could still use it with an extra space, full stop, comma etc

At the moment there isn't a policy to remove users who are inactive as some come back. If you PM me the name you want and we can look at it for you.
