9 O'Clock on a Sunday morning and my piss is already boiling. Now I don't particularly like Jonathan Ross, but this sort of journalism is just incredible. How many journalists were listening to radio 2 this weekend desperate for the guy to make the slightest slip up so they could become outraged. I know it was completely predictable that there would be some stupid story in either the Wail on Sunday or TNOTW today, but still...

The best bit from the whole thing has to be:

Perhaps we should start a petition for David Davis to be replaced, on the grounds of gross stupidity.

"On Radio 2 you don't expect X-rated references to sex - and especially sex with an 80-year-old - during the day," - Never heard Wogan's Janet and John stuff then? - Moron!

There is quite a difference between the crap that Ross comes out with and Janet & John. The latter contains absolutely no sexual content whatsoever, unless YOU put it there.

Reading the article neither did Jonathon Ross, it was all implied. We can all hear the innuendo but both presenter do it.

Newspapers are a dying format, the BBC (TV, Website, etc) is a big competitor to the UK press (particularly those owned by Murdoch who competes with the BBC on TV too). The result is that the papers have an interest in trying to bring down the BBC.

I find it amusing that these are the same papers that show naked girls every day and in the case of the Daily Express is owned by a guy (Richard Desmond?) who prints 'Asian Babes', 'Big Ones' and runs a pornographic TV channel.

So the whole Ross thing is just another chance to have a go at what is generally a fine institution.

Yeha, yeah - I know the (print) press is hugely biased as well - but they never pretend to be anything else.
