real soviet military memorabilia?

bit of an odd one this - i want to buy a friend of mine a present and hes very into all things russian . I have had a look online and found numerous websites selling cheap tat with CCCP badges on it but have so far failed to find 'genuine' ex soviet bits and bobs. Does such a site exist? Im looking to spend maybe £100 - £150 but so far just cant find anywhere that sells the real deal! Special bonus prize goes to anyone that can find a silver ex soviet hip flask

the problem you may find is that the shops you want are the ones that dont have websites.

by me (in bristol) there are 2 shops that specialise in military memorabilia with lots of old uniforms, swords, guns etc. i suspect they would have what you are looking for, but i doubt they have a working computer between them!

You could try this place, they have a decent range of stuff. A fair bit of it is modern Russian, but they still have a good selection of Soviet era stuff.

Look at Ryton Arms (I use them regularly) and take a look at the Soviet stamped deactivated M1895 Nagant gas seal revolvers they're selling. £150



ETA: Look in the 'Sale Items' section. They also do post war (but still Soviet) Tokarev TT33s at that price, too.

I've owned both and they're worth a punt.

Surprised that on one of the links you can seemingly pick up a Bren gun for less than 300 notes!

I've been looking longingly at a Mk.2 Bren to go with another I have. Can't justify it at the moment, though

A Mosin Nagant was the WWII weapon of the Russians, working ones are pretty cheap in the States. $75 last time I looked. A deactivated would of course be more expensive.If you do buy something like this be sure to for ask a statement re original finish remaining 75% 80% etc as this affects the price.

I think the MIG clock is a good choice. BTW.

Mine would sell for about £110 from a dealer.
