Crikey. That is nice.

That, in LT guise, would be a killer Mega bike.

That is lovely. lick

Would an LT have enough rear travel for the Mega? I know the Geo on the LT2 has been designed around a 140mm fork, yet will take a 160mm. But the rear is only 5.5inches, I beleive 6+ is the norm for the Mega?

Depends on whether you are piloting it for the race or the qualifier.

The race doesn't need 6+ inches, but the qualifier has little climbing, and is bigger on the hits so yes, you'd be right for that.

ETA Apart from last year when they cancelled the race going down the normal route and made us all ride the 1st half of the qualifier.

Cue lots of worried faces, including mine, looking at our lesser travel 'race' bikes, and wondering whether we would survive down the huge boulder fields in the qualifier track...

As it was, I was fine, but christ, was it a bit scary...

Commencal are doing carbon frames for 2010...

Some donkey in Norway leaked photos... so he's currently not a popular bunny at Commencal HQ, but good for all of us who like a bit of bike porn!

oooo. I wonder if it handles the same way as the 08 5.5.

I can't get over how controllable mine is when descending. Last night I was racing down a narrow track and I could just feel the back end going "hey, don't worry, a bump? What bump, let me take care of that. You just go right ahead and enjoy yourself" biggrin

Its a pity that just after it said that, I ended up in a rut at the side of that track while my mate overtook me on his Scott Genius biggrin

Cheeky chance to post Colnago bling:

My new addition to the fleet, a Colnago Extreme Power in retro 1982 World Champ Saronni colours .. had to sell 3 other frames to afford the damn thing.. but its worth it cloud9 Hand buildt in Italy, not the lightest nor the most modern.. but oh so pretty and an air of history.

Gonna get 10 speed Campag Record, low profile rims and carbon everywhere. aiming for 7kg atm..

So pretty it should hang on my wall
