News just in:
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ukpress/article/A...
And this:
http://uk.reuters.com/article/allBreakingNews/idUK...

Is this good news for shareholders like me?
Will the price be on up in the morning because of this news?

Funnily I just posted the following in another thread not long ago:

"I'm a complete novice when it comes to share dealing, but this what I have done and my logic behind it.

Bought:
7497 RBS shares @ 13.3p
454 BT shares @109.9p
1204 Inchcape shares @ 41.5p

This is all long term thinking.
RBS is obvisouly the biggest potential risk/reward. If it goes back to anywhere near its previous price the rewards will be massive, and of course if it gets nationalised the shares will be worthless.

The other two buys are my way of trying to offset/hedge the risk.

BT in my veiw are very big company whose shares are a lot less than they were in line with most of the market, and in the long term should be a safe bet, although a much smaller reward than the RBS shares.

Inchcape are a big car dealer group who I used to work for, and therefore know a little more about this company. The share price is about 10% of its previous peak. Obvisouly being a new car dealer is a challenging business at the moment, but I'm confident they are a strong enough company to survive these tough times. I think this buy is somewhere in the middle of my RBS and BT deals in terms of risk/reward.

Hopefully in a few years I could get a nice reward from this little lot, and if RBS goes tits up the other two should at least get me my money back, or get me a small return."

With regards BT, don't underestimate the ability of Global Services to upset profit, or the now 9 years late 21CN to never arrive.
