Hi,

I am looking to purchase a 1970's Breitling Datora 2031. Just like this:

A Google search has thrown up quite a few, but they're all sold. However, it's given me a good idea on what price to expect.

Can anyone offer advice on where I should go to try and source one?

have you tried the watch forums?

You could start a thread on one of those, someone might be tempted to sell!

I picked up a similar one last year (or rather my wife bought me one for a present) from Wanna Buy a Watch, it was about $1500.

Just had a look at that site and found this...
How to devalue your Rolex in an instant, and as for 'sophisticated,' I don't think so!

So because they have some customised rolexes that are pretty ugly, that makes all the other watches on the site st? confused

Nice choice. I have this:

I got mine from Alexander's in Farnham - used to have a contact there who would show me all the new/cool stuff they had in. You should have seen Mrs Weasel's face whilst trying on a £45K JLC Reverso...

Um, I don't believe I said anything along those lines, or even implied it?! As I said, I had a look on the site, had a look at their modified watches, found an ugly one and decided to post it up for humour value. How on earth can you come to the conclusion that because I don't like their horrible modified Rolexes that means I instantly think their classic Breitlings are "st"? rolleyes The classic Breitlings are very cool, including yours, the modified Rolxes are horrendous, now let's all be friends smilebeer

I've got a Breitling datora 2031 with black dial (not white as in the picture). Write me if you are still interested...
Best regards
