Tyres for Sprinting
Discussion
Looks like List 1B tyres (R888s, AO48s, etc) will not be allowed in the road production class of sprints from 2010, so I'm looking for an alternative for my Elise (and yes, Elises are in the road production class down here in the South West).
The Yokohama Advans that lots of people use on Elises would be OK, but they are not on either of the MSA lists. I am, therefore, considering Marangoni Zeta Lineas, which are very soft and seem to be used by other sprinters in events where List 1a tyres are stipulated.
So, 2 questions then:
1) Does anyone have any experience of these?
2) Are they particularly wide for their sizes? - some tyres, despite their size designation seem to be wider than others - don't want to be stuck with tyres that rub against the bodywork.
Cheers,
JP
