How much?

Hi folks
I'm about to get a chim,but the rear screen has a split in it.
So how much is it gonna cost to replace? and is there someone
in herts/beds that can do it?

A new screen is around £3-400 IIRC. Theres a trimmers in Baldock (AR Pound - behind Tescos) who are really goo but TBH I'm not certain they do the screens. They've done carpets for me though and also full seat/interior retrims.

If replacing the rear screen is going to cost that I'd do the lot, you can get a whole new roof in a DIY kit for £295 from Dave Hammerton off ebay

Barton & son did my Tam rear screen before Xmas, they are based in Luton. Did a top job, it cost about £300 IIRC

Ring Martin at the TVR Centre 020 8440 6666, Complete hood with screen in about £580. Screen only is much less.

I'm sure i've heard someone do it for less than that, heard £150 i think.

About 18 months ago I had one done for my S2, about £150-200 but far better quality than the original.

That was near Leicester.

Dodgy memory! just had a look at the invoice the £300 included some new moo cow for the center console & 2 new gaiters. A TVR and a misus (that also wants a TVR) means having lots of money is but a distant memory.....

Just had one of these fitted at £200 for the fitting! Nice job in the end, but just be careful as they are a "standard kit" and there is no such thing as a standard TVR! Took my fitter 2 days with lots of adjusting, trimming and I no doubt a few choice words! That said looks great now and really pleased with the result. Great service and advice from Dave Hammerton too.

New Hood / Roof
