can't believe there hasn't been a thread up here today about this, especially as it all got a little heated the last time it was discussed.
One bit which amused me was "Ms Smith said stronger "skunk" varieties account for 80% of the cannabis seized on the streets, and that the drug is nearly three times stronger than in 1995. " Just had a chat with a friend of a friend who's answer was "I f
king wish. If anything it's worse and these days you never know what s
t's been added to get the weight up and to make it look heavy."
Another thing. So you get stopped on the street, caught with a reefer and told not to be so naughty - I take it you get a Criminal Record for this or is that not the case?

1st time it's a roadside warning (or was don't know about now).
Those that say it causes mental problems it's more a case of people having underlying mental problems they can now blame on the ganja.
Should be legal as most people have at least tried it and a fair few of them try it regulary & often. It'd free up the police more to deal with hard drugs and other crime. Also it'd be a nice taxable earner for Meltdown Brown.

I heard that caught once is a caution, twice a fine and three times arrested.
Only resin or solid is usually mixed and it's true, the strength has dropped quite a bit over the years. Weed on the other hand has got a lot stronger. It's stupid really, they want it made a higher class because they think it causes psychosis or something, but can't prove it without research. They've been saying this for years and yet still no long term research has been done.
Legalise and regulate, it's the only way to be sure. Cannabis law is a joke anyway, noone takes it seriously.

This, sir, I am aware of; you might even note my very own contributions before now http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t...

It was just that nothing had been said in light of today's addition to the debate.

Which is why you need to find a good 'friend' who grows all of his own supplies and only his mates know about what he does. can't believe there hasn't been a thread up here today about this, especially as it all got a little heated the last time it was discussed.

Apologies sire
I still can't see the police handling it any differently, that is unless the targets culture affects things.
They have to handle it differently now... that is the law, Sir.

Sorry, the person I was talking to was talking about what these little darlings would deem to be skunk. Resin is something they gave up on health grounds in the early '90's.M3CHA-MONK3Y said:

Agree with the first part, disagree with the bold. Some people take it far too seriously, meaning that some can't risk taking it at all!I think I must be the only person who lives in my village that doesn't grow their own.
We actually had a local guy who got caught when he'd dug a tunnel under a hill on his land. They only found it cos they were looking for some young car theif with a thermal imaging camera on a helicopter, and the whole hill was warm

You obviously haven't smoked in the past 2 years - weed is now laced with many things to add weight, it's not just solid. sugar, silicone, lots of horrible sh!t. good weed is stronger, but most is not.Only resin or solid is usually mixed and it's true, the strength has dropped quite a bit over the years. This was mentioned on one of the earlier threads and I still havn't seen it although I've been looking carefully. My experience is that weed these days tends to be sold by the bag not by weight anyway. I think the truth is that on average weed is probably stronger than it was 10 years ago just because UK grown skunk has largely replaced low grade Moroccan hash. Judging by the nasty s
t that was in 'soap bar' it's probably a net health benefit. I'd say it's actually harder to find very high grade skunk these days; 10 years ago if you found skunk it tended to be very high grade. Even if it is stronger, why does that matter? Just means you don't have to smoke as much to get the same high - benefit!
Aside from measure sizes there aren't restrictions on 'hard' alcohol vs beer, so their argument fails again. I could pour myself a pint of whiskey and neck it just as easily as a beer if I had the cash...
