if i buy an Alfa SZ?

i've decided that this will be my next money pit... it's soooo ugly, it's beautiful...

with 200hp+, an 3.0v6, bugger all weight and up to 1.4g in lateral cornering ability, i might even be able to keep up (when i'm not polishing it and generally salivating over it).

i've figured that as i'm already mortgaged up to the hilt, if i lose my job, i'm completely fubarred... so might as well go out in flames!

wooohoo

live by the sword, die by the sword! woohooo!

fortunately, i can't remember the last time i have been so busy at work... we're doing more business at the moment than we have ever done in january...

thinking about it logically,,, if i stick to my guns and hunt out a 'fire sale' for circa 70% of average cost, if i need to get back out and take a bath on this figure, i will be selling at 50% of average cost (which should secure an immediate sale) and will circa £5k down... the average elise 111r owner loses that in his sleep on the first night of ownership :-)

just gotta play the waiting game now....

Go for it, they are seriously nice cars. I ran an Alfa 75 as a company car and refused to change it when the time was up as there was nothing else on the car list that went and handled like it! The keys were only prised out of my hand when we were outsourced. The SZ has the 75 running gear: 50/50 weight distribution by having gearbox/transaxle at rear, inboard rear disks and LSD (all on the standard 75) The SZ got Group A suspension and is very light.

Can you tell I like them? Only problem is how will I find the money to buy it when you sell up for huge loss a few months after you buy one!
