actually will be interesting for the final week of the Oz open tennis; that place is like a cauldron on a 30 degree day. I reckon there will be some players collapsing from exhaustion for sure - court temps will push over 65 deg with a forecast like that. About time they sweated a bit for the money they get for whackin furry balls around!

it's getting worse...
now the 40+ temps run til Sat and tomorrow looks like a bushfire disaster waiting to happen with 43 deg & 30 knot northerly winds
Biggest laugh is our English dog (a black Schnauzer); we shipped her over here with us last June and this is her first taste of a proper heatwave - I swear when I walked in from work yesterday she just glared at me with a "you have got to be feckin kidding!" look on her face!

this is prety much the weather here 12 months of the year
Interestingly the thermomiter that we have outside consistantly goes above 40c but the forecast rarely goes above 32c .... i wonder if that has anything to do with the "acceptable temperature levels" for outdoors workers.

It's 33C outside and sunny
I'm going to look at the following property to move into at less than 550 quid per month
I've convinced the gf that it is a better idea for her to move from manchester to australia than vice versa

t will bugger up your paintwork no end, never min dthe drop bears denting your roof and bonnet. And where will you do your car tinkering in airconditioned comfort too??? but top work in getting the doris to come to you rather than you having to live in <shudder> Manchester!!

Why the hell would anyone want to move back to Abingdon?
Because it was where I lived when I was transported to the UK for my convict sins for 3 years.Up it's arse or not, Abingdon or even Balckpool (famous for it's spelling?) right now seems a better option than here where I'm contemplating trying to sleep in my house which is about 33 degrees (aircon has given up) as opposed to the rather chilly 37 that it still is outside at 11.15pm.
Time to wake the missus up and suggest we go try that "shopping" caper she is always raving on about!

currently...

at least I decided to take the V8 juice wh0re to work today instead of riding the push bike like I did yesterday.. I keep myself fairly fit & healthy but the usually easy 20 min ride home damn near killed me in the 40 deg sun!
Massive respect to those endurance atheletes that perform in 35+ deg temps!
