I know this comes down to personal opinion but which of the S wheels do you prefer.
I personally prefer the earliest ones. Seem to give a look of power.

I own B.

I prefer D.

I will probably buy C as a spare set and get my B's refurbed.

Anyone had their B's chromed whilst getting refurbed and if so Pic's please!

My Car came with B. I took them off for winter and fitted A. I think I prefer A, but B are in beter condition, and have better tires. Soooooo.. I'm not sure yet maybe A, but my Bs are sooo shiney.

Sorry I missed you yesterday, did you come up with MUNGO? I saw you pull in but then vanish....

Definately B, there were quite a few different versions yesterday at VW.
RichardR has had his powder coated so no black and shiney but looked good though. (easier to keep looking clean)

Damn!
There were so many people to meet and only seemed to get to meet half of them.

VW was a very good meet though, loads of S's around, seemed to be more V8s than V6's though.

Yes it was me in the mungo mobile.
Had an exciting drive home down the A32 with mungo trying to scare me but I felt perfectly safe.

Now its time for me to scare him, and I have dodgy brakes!

I prefer B (OZ as on my S2), quite like A (which look like Wolfraces but I beleive are actually OZ), C are OK (Chimp style) and dislike D (pain to clean).

I couldn't get to VW. The bulkhead steering column bush/bearing has suddenly got very bad, making it a pig to drive.

I have B (which I stripped the chipped lacquer off, and are now very highly polished Meester Pies!) and quite like them. I've seen the A ones at meets and they really do look good though.

I have B's and i prefer them to the others. They are in desperate need of TLC however and that looks like one of this winters jobs.

Have A's on my V8S which are definately not standard for this model- the car had C's on when I bought it but as I've said before on here I personally do not like them, so had them swopped over by that nice Mr Blyth. Just bought another spare set of A's and I'll get both sets re-furbed shortly.

I just put this question on another thread but it would be better here now!

Did the early wheels, (a), also come on S2's? I have seen a red S2 for sale and it has them on.

I prefer them anyway but just wondered if the change over date was during the S2 era.

if only it was this simple, I think the standard was to use whatever wheels they had lying around!
