Rome considering bidding to host an F1 race

Well that's ambitious. At least it's a change from the middle east or Asia. My money would be on a local Roman taxi driver.

Maurizio Flammini....as in World Suprbike Flammini brothers & FGSport, so he knows a thing about these things.

Roman Grand Prix?

I can't find it on Youtube any more, but it reminds of a video clip featuring Michael Schumacher in a Roman-era chariot race (complete with Ferrari horses, a red chariot, and Jean Todt in the pits). Anyone know where it is?

Wouldn't like to see another street circuit in the calendar at the expense of Monza.

Italy have had 2 GP's before, Monza would not have to be sacrificed. They'll just rename this one like Jungles said above to the Roman Grand Prix.

I've just thought, they could call revive the old ancient name for a large entertainment venue and call the track the "Circus Maximus".
