Next week I have relatives visiting London for a few days and they've booked into Canary Wharf Hilton.

Hotel says parking is limited and on a first come, first served basis.

What's public parking like there during the week? Can anyone recommend any NCPs or similar?

I'd like be able to point them in the right direction, should the hotel be full.

TIA.

They should be fine they have a few spaces - if not ask Jamie Beeston, he has a space sometimes - he lives behind the Hilton and may let you use it in the evenings wink

There's a car park behind the Marriott at West India Quay (Hertsmere road). Think it's about £15 for 24 hours.

If all else fails, you can park in one of the many car parks at the dome and go a couple of stops from North Greenwich Tube (the station is about 500m from the dome, and the car parks surround it) to Canary Wharf.

Is the Canary Wharf Hilton the one that isn't actually in Canary Wharf (stupid river in the wrong place)?

Got the car park under Westferry - left the Sag there before now.

Now if they were staying at the Radisson by me - they would have access to my valet parking smile

There's quite a lot of parking, I think the closest will be the Waitrose one in the middle of CW.

None of them will be cheap though!

It's next to South Quay station, 5 mintes walk across the footbridge.

A stupid shuttle bus picked me up from the tube station and drove me to the hotel (5 - 10 minutes). Don't recall a footbridge.

If it's the one I'm thinking of the hotel has a dock for the ferry.

No actual public car parks round near the hotel , used the ncp one near the marriott, if they come off at the limehouse link just before the tunnel.

They can jump on the DLR to the Hilton.

You'll be able to park on the street not too far away as the restrictions are only Mon-Fri (only ok if you're happy leaving the car on the street). Mastmaker Road, Millhabour or Byng St should be OK.

Edited to add: For some reason I thought they'd be there at the weekend - sorry!

Lots of DLR work, so some roads closed around there (just an FYI).
