Windscreen wipers

Now my windscreen wipers haven't been working for quite some time now, and I'm coming to the end of the teather with them, I've had the motor off, had that reconditioned, still nothing, had the switch off the steering column, nothing obvious there, checked every fuse, nothing blown, tried to check if I've got power to any of the cables and reached the end of my electrical know-how
So what next, and just to make it a bit more confusing the washer jets don't jet, and the main beam flasher doesn't flash either, other than that everythings fine

so the indicators work but all other electrically switched items on the steering column don't? Is that right? Does your horn work (IYKWIM )

Yep the indicators work, and if I push that switch towards the dash I get main beam, but if I pull it back for a flash, nothing, and nothing on the right hand switch works Not tried the horn though

Not sure if it helps but I have an earth from the column switch housing to the column mounting bolts. So many things not working hints at earth problems...
