Now, I would be the last guy to ditch my Sunday roast in favour of a nut-cutlet, but maybe the eco-nerds at PETA have "qualities" which we have overlooked...

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I give you: veggie burgers, that fake bacon, Quorn, and lasagna made with ratatouille.
Add being pasty, weak, and often malnourished and they aren't onto a winner IMO. I've met literally one UK veggie who I had any respect for, he had a decent reason to do it, and he was raising his kids to eat meat until they could decide for themselves.
And, PETA are a bunch of dangerous fruit loops.
