List of upgrades to fit during build

Hi all,

I'm trying to compile a list of itmes that are worth upgrading during the build.

So far I have:

• Brake light switch on brake pedal
• Horn
• Indicator stalks

Anything else?

If you are putting it on the road you will have these fitted as standard otherwise it wont be road legal....

Thanks, I haven't done this yet.

What did you use? I've seen both heat reflective tape and exhaust wrap. I guess exhaust wrap would be the better of the two options?

Sound deadner on the side panels covered in heatmat and wrap the pipes with 'B & Q foam pipe wrap'.
Luggage containers will be a bit of a struggle to fit but worth it in the end to stop the heat build up.
If I were doing it now I would run the heater hoses outside the luggage containers and not through them, same for the air con hoses.
Talking of heaters, if you want to do away with the manual heater control valve, Vintage Air do a eletronic valve that you could fit in the engine bay.

extra conduit in lugauge contatiners for runing that wire that you need to install in 6 months time

uprated fans seam to have been popular

provisions for rear difusers

toeing eyes

air jack brackets

batery disconect switch for track days, same again for fire extinguisher

some have installed interior lights and door light switches

tyre presure monitoring systems

reversing cameras

rool bar padding

cover for rear engine compartment

sway bars
