Hi there,

It was my grandpa's who's been dead for about 40 years. It was his watch. I'm just trying to find out a bit of info on it.

It looks like its gold (no strap only the watch face bit) On thefront it says "systema 25 jewels", super automatic (cant be sure on this as my eyes cant see small writing, but I think it says) inderbloc. It has the date at 3 o'clock.

On the back it says "water resistant", "stainless steel back", "automatic", "swiss made", incabloc (possibly). In the middle of the back it says "full lever" 11044.

I couldnt beleive that when I moved it to take it out of the box the second hand started going round & its kept good time ever since.

I dont think its worth anything, although it ould be nice to find something out about it if any of you have heard of them.

Thanks for your help.

Well, I can tell you one small thing: "incabloc" is the shock resistance system for the balance wheel. Other than that I don't know anything about it. What about some pictures? I think we all like a watch with a story to tell.

A bit like this ?

7 watches down

Somebody else will be along soon with more no doubt. Pictures would help too, though.

My apologies as my camera isnt that good & the watch isnt in very good condition.
I'm not sure how to upload pictures, but I'll have a go. (see below) hopefully!!

New crystal (or whatever is used) a bit of a polish and that would come up nice!

A relatively serious watch if it has incabloc and is magnetically shielded.

Interesting looking watch, particularly with the anti magnetic feature. Have you taken the back off?

No I wouldnt dare take the back off as I have no idea whatsoever what I'm doing & the watch has a load of sentimental value to us. I have no idea where the strap went to.
I'd love to find out a bit more info about it especially how old it may be.

It would be nice to have it cleaned & the cracked glass replaced (if thats possible), but fear that it will be expensive. That said its not been worn for over 40 years & as soon as I took it out of the box & moved it it started working & seems to be keeping good time ever since.

Does anyone know what the 25 jewels means. I saw a systems 17 jewels one online for £50. Does the fact that this one has 25 mean its better or worse?

Are systema a german watch manufacturer or Swiss?

Thanks for your help.
