That is called Valence Byways and I think is a private collection, went on an open day once but don't think it is usually open to the public.

Seems to be in the local paper every so often as the owner does not have (or did not have I have not lived in the area for 10 years+) planning permission for the aircraft

I drive past most days as it's about a mile from my house. You have to make an appointment to visit.

Under the West end of the runway is where bankrupt airlines park mothballed planes, I think there are 3-5 more there now than the map picture depicts.

I'd post a link but I always get it wrong when it comes to Google Maps.

I do not think that they are mothballed. Lasham has a aircraft maintenance facility. They chiefly maintain transport planes. It used to be Dan Air's facility many years ago - it has a better reputation today. Security has been improved recently, you can no longer just drive in and have a look around, so an appointment would be necessary.

He's not, he's a wker. See that H-shaped building above the planes? I used to work for one of the small companies operating there and dealt with him a few times. The surfacing of the roads/parking areas around the edge is so bad that I cracked a sump on it once - and he refuses to do anything to level the area out, and I don't mean major earthworks but even a bag of gravel in the bigger potholes would help. He's very tight-fisted. He also didn't like us coming in or out late at night (our business ran 24 hours, which he knew when they started business there) and would often have a go at us. Additionally he has an automatic barrier thing to access the place from the road which requires a keycard to open it - but he refused to give us more than one card to open it, despite repeated requests and explanations that there were 5 of us, and often one of us would need to get in when nobody else is around at short notice, & this means that to do so (depending on who was the last one to leave) could involve a 20 minute diversion to collect the card!

XL and Zooms planes are at Lasham, I think it's a Hungarian airline that had the green ones.

IIRC there are around 20 there.

It looks like I am wrong. I have not been there for a while, but it appears that in addition to the ATC facility, they are mothballing aircraft these days.
