will 31/10.50 - 15's and 235/75-15's i think the second ones are, will they make any difference on my maverick? as its only got a limited slip diff in the rear axle i've been led to believe it won't make any difference to the 4x4 system. help anyone

for someone who is bagging someone on the green lane thread thats a fairly basic question!!

Yes it will be bad. Dont do it.

31" tyres are 31" tall

the 235's are 28.8"

i wasn't sure as someone had told me it only makes a difference if you have a central diff lock, however i managed to find two more of the correct size. so all is well.

I thought a Maverick had a centre diff-lock.

No centre difflock on a Mav but it does have a LSD rear.

I run 31" Mud tyres on my Terrano 2, same as Mav but different badge. Made a big difference to its offroad ability.

Can you run it in 4 wheel drive all the time, on dry roads etc?
