Skegness Butlins
Discussion
Depends on what you like! don't know the butlins, but I know the town. There'll be hen nights, that should be good. It's a standard crap english sea side town with crazy golf, a big shingle beach and lots of fish and chip shops.
ETA - if you deliberately make it a tacky night out, you'll be laughing. So dig up the burberry and tight faded jeans and spend a fortune in the arcades, eat the candy floss washed down with white lightning, buy the stag a kiss me quick hat, the best man a knotted hanky, roll up your trousers, go skinny dipping in the north sea and revel in all that is uniquely s

On that basis should you advise 'southendpier' to stay in southend?80's weekend i believe, my sister goes regularly and has done for near 20 years and will be with about 10 others this weekend.
I went a couple of times at the end of the real 80's, used to be a laugh and by all accounts till is.
Don't whatever you do don't expect even a slight hint of class or expect to eat anything but chips!

So they have been doing an '80's weekend' since the 80's? Did they just used to call it a 'weekend'?Perhaps they just havent changed their playlist, and arent intentionally running an 80s themed weekend?
Depending on the type of weekend usually dictates the type of crowd, 60s, 70s usually has a higher ratio of female to males.
Likes:
Being able to get bloxed in any one of their choice establishments, whilst being a short walk away from your 'chalet'.
Loads of slappers trying to attack you with their dildos (usually hen parties).
Most people are there for a good time, so very little in the way of trouble.
Food establishments handily placed between the watering holes and your bed.
Dislikes:
Waterered down, expensive pints.
Stains on the bedding and general level of skankyness overall.
Loads of rank, slappers trying to attack you with their dildos (usually hen parties).
Canteen food is
stick to one of the pubs for a decent meal.

My girlfriend's been to a couple of themed Butlins nights (going to one this weekend actually, not Skegness though) and she absolutely loves them; so much so I'm tempted to get my mates to go on one.
As tacky and a crap as youc ould possibly imagine, btu if you embrace it; brilliant fun for not much money at all.

Not been to Butlins, but went to Skegness last summer (deliberate choice of a 'proper British seaside holiday', before anyone asks!) and I was very impressed with the town itself.
Yes it's loud, brash, etc. but it was also exceptionally clean, parking wasn't a problem and the beach (sand, incidentally, not shingle as posted above) was immaculate.
Enjoy

I have been to skegness butlins, and to be honest i had a good laugh. Accomodation wasn't too bad either. I did go 4 years ago, there wasn't many chav's on the weekend i went on. Or maybe i was a chav and didn't know it :b but probably not.
