Hi,

I am selling a car to a guy in Italy, he wants to pay Euros in cash.

I am fine with this but how do I get the Euros in to my bank? Do I go to the post office for exchange?

Help appreciated.

Thanks.

Give it to me, I'll give you some pounds in exchange.

I would recommend using www.worldfirst.com they are an FX broker. Very easy process, they will convert to GBP at a favourable exchange rate and transfer the funds into your home account.

You can just take your Euros along to the bank and they will change them for Pounds and put it into your account.

If he's coming over to the UK I'd really get him to change the money though, firstly because of what you will lose out in commission and exchange rate, but secondly because that would be a top way to pass off fake notes, betting on you not being as familiar with Euros as you are with pounds. If he sounds genuine and you're confident you can spot fake Euros then it's an option, but I'd hold out for pounds if you can.
