Right ok, so paid full price for car 4 years ago, did he not realise it will depreciate thus trying to give the impression to everybody that your are getting a really good deal.

sorry just made me a little annoyed.

Nought wrong with sometime trying to lure potential buyers with eye catching claims. It seems a reasonable price for the car, so all he is doing is comparing it to the list price. Can't see anything wrong with that.

+1.

Does seem a fair price.

The ad seems ok to me. I actually think he's getting a good point across, in that the person buying the car is getting a pretty good deal.

Cheers,

I don't see whats wrong with that Ad?
He paid £30,000+ for it new and is selling it for £14,000 with 16,000 miles. Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal, i've seen loads of cars with 'This car new was....'. Common sales tactic, isn't it?

Kind of weird I agree. If I were in the market for one I'd know whether it was a good deal or not...it's a pretty useless claim without the knowledge of what other 4 year old Elises sell for.

I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist over it though.

You're asking "how is the original poster an original poster"?

I don't think that ad is bad - you would be getting a good deal with that car and it would be half the original price.

That is in fact the exact car I want at the exact price I want in 13 months from now if saving goes to plan.
