Seen the trailer now a few times (trailers these days btw, give the whole film away ffs) and it looks just like forest gump in reverse...

Anyone seen it on here? My housemate saw it in the states and thought it was poor..

Several of my American friends have seen it and they thought it was great.

However, they are all women, it might be a bit more "chick flick" than the trailers make out.

Decent enough film. Interesting concept - surprised it had so many nominations.

The Reader is a beeter film, as was Revolutionary Road.

As in gives you a walk through of his life (albeit backwards) and all the things he does, like gump, girlfriend gets sick/hit by car, dies etc. Seems a similar concept apart from the age reversal..

And you see all that from the trailer, which imo is fooking stupid, don't show me key bits of the film ffs.

Despite you attempt to label me I am not a fan of action films only, take Slumdog Millionaire, dogst adverts, but at least they told me nothing of the film. It was great BTW.

ETA rofl at the link, I had not even seen that before I made the fleeting observation.

I thought it was a good film, but it could have been a great film if there was more emotion in it. Brad Pitt played it far too cold IMO.

It's far too long, and although it's technically well done it's a bit 'empty'.

Decidedly average.

My OH loved it, I thought it was absolutely average. Gran Torino was phenomenal though. The Wrestler was okay, was amazed to see how bad Mickey Rourke looks...

Just seen it, I agree that it's a bit like Forest Gump with a twist.
Not bad though.

So, if it is Forest Gump in Reverse.....Forest gump is about a man with seeming little potential and abilities that goes on to excel in his field.....the reverse would be someone with great ptotenital who goes on to ritually underperform and disappoint.......

You sure it is not called "the curious case of Jenson Button!" LOLOLlaugh

Not awful, but tried too hard to be epic.
