Depends.
I am being 'charged' 16.7 for the first 185 units. Then at 9.94 per unit. That's with EDF.

I pay 10.54 pence per unit.

So, yes its expensive.

However - I have to pay a fixed charge of £10 per month, but it worked it out to be cheaper.

We use rather a lot of it, bill is and always has been £100 a month.

So surely there's a better rate available somewhere.

uSwitch seems to be geared specifically to hide the per unit rate, which I dont like.
