When mine was bog standard I went head to head with a friends slightly tweaked TT and we were both neck and neck on the road until he hit his limiter which was still to be removed since it arrived from Japland...

I've always loved the SL55 AMG. It has always been my favorite Merc other than the SLR McLaren Roadster. Have you driven one Roger?
Funnily enough we had a sales pack from Merc today, with a load of information on there whole range of motors. However at £63,706.05 for a V6 SL class they can kiss my ass. To think of what you could do with that money. I'd have a 6.0 VXR, a VXR8 and a Maloo, all in black lined up on my drive. Thats 24 cylinders for the price of 6.

Yes they are nice, SL65 is even better and that does give me a serious run for my money!! mind you its a little more expensive than a Ro!!

My neighbour has one. Supercharged V8 sounds very nice, but it is a lot of cash to fork out...

Must admit this is one of the few things I'd currently consider replacing the 'Ro with, if/when the time comes.

I think you need to get the right spec for an SL55, some look very boring and some look stunning. The one that tried chasing me was very low, all black with tinted windows and nice alloys, others are very cheap looking for a 50k car!

It was pulling away from him at 150 leptons! He wouldnt look over when he came past as I pulled off, boring sod as it was only a bit of fun. Also had an S4 V8 try it on outta work but that was a bit academic as as soon as we hit a straight he got the message, must have been the weather as never normally get to play in the Ro.... unless Jezz or Sophie are around!

Good point, mind you we did pull from around 90 leptons so he was trying... just failing.
