What's the market for griffs like at the moment? I'm now in the US and have a Griff in storage in the UK (2000, Griff 500). As its now unlikely I'll be back in the UK any time soon I'm looking to sell but as I've heard the pound aint doing to well right now, is the market as flat as a pancake?

People are still prepared to pay good money for a good Griffith as they are still the iconic TVR. Need to be patient though.
The pound weakness is actually bringing a lot of european buyers across the channel as it is about 20 pct cheaper for them to buy rare exotics like TVRs now.

People were literally battering the door down to get mine, I could have held out for a lot more probably but I had its replacement all lined up so it was just a case of first person to get me the cash to me gets the car. In the end I didn't have to move a £ on price. Guy didn't even want to wait for me to put 12 months MOT on the car in case he lost it.

Oh its a 19000 mile 99 T Reg - went for 16 grand

Like all cars they have taken a hit over the last 12 months. This would have been closer to 19-20k at this time last year.

Yeap, there are no shortage of buyers out there for good, realistically priced Griffs at the moment, if this guy hadn't taken it I had 3 other very serious buyers lined up. I perhaps could have got 18k for it if I had held out but this way I shifted it fast, cost me nothing to advertise, didn't even splash out for a new MOT or tax (it was SORN'ed), was due a service soon as well. Six months down the line and I might have racked up a grands worth of costs and still not have a buyer.

And as you say everything is taken a massive hit - I am replacing it with a Merc CLK55 AMG and they have taken a huge hit in price in the last 6 months.

Must be something wrong with my precat then.

Apart from the colour.

And the condition.

And the age.

And the mileage.

Yes but what good value for money they are now.( The AMG I mean) Nice car as well, not that I am jealous of course. Sold my T 99 plate Griff a year ago and have not replaced it with anything yet. Just can't decide what to get at the moment.Everything in my price range seems so tame after the Griff. I almost in some respects wish I hadn't bought it. Getting something to replace it with that will keep me interested for more than a few weeks has become a major problem. confused
