Job with good money...

Recession aside, where is the good money? The type of jobs where you are guaranteed the cash if you are good at it. Trading? Law? Its not property. When I went into property, id been surrouned by success, parents, working experience in smaller more niche companies.
The director of our office is on £80k - i am sure the main guys in the london office are on more - but £80k isnt massive by todays standards for a 50 year old at the top of his game.
You hear stories of massive wages, and I have a friend in my ear about her potential new job as a field sales executive - sounds like sales BS to me, but she is convinced that if shes good and progresses she can easily be on 6 figures with bonuses to match.
Are there any jobs, whereby if you get into them, you are almost guaranteed big money? Jobs where when you start you think "yes, im in, matter of time til im earning the bucks".

80k ! get real thats a fantastic sum to earn. What do you think the average wage is?Forget top of his game etc, if thats what the job pays/salary/drawings pay then thats what it pays.
Sounds like your after easy money. No such thing.
Risk and reward go self employed if you have the balls for it. Where is the money? well that where earning well comes from guessing where the money is and moving on it before others. Not being told where it is, cos its already moved on or satuated.
you've not even been in the job a year though have you?
you're not going to be earning the big money in most industries until you have 5-10yrs experience ata minimum [and likely a lot more than that]. by which time the property markets will be recovering and you can use all your knowledge gained to take advantage of a rising market and be better placed to spot the warning signs.

What do you think the average wage is?I don't care what the average wage is because getting a good degree from the top university for your course and then making it to the top of the tree within a top organisation and pulling in big fees is worth more than £80k.
ETA: Just to clarify, when I say 'worth more' I appreciate he is worth what the market etc dictates but if you have come out of a top uni with a degree in law and got to the top of the tree, you're on more than £80k, right?
Hence me asking where the money is? What industry are the top professionals paid the most money in?

I'm a year in and not on big money, nor could you expect to be.
I'm simply wondering which industries are you guaranteed* the big bucks in?

If its obtainable then it doesnt pay as well. To earn 6 figure wages you need to:
a) be better than everyone else at what you do
b) come up with an idea that no-ones thought of
c) plow 10+ years into a company and be good at it.
Chase the dream all you want, you won't get it. I work in CAD, one of the guys that trained me earnt £250,000 for 3 months work. Guess what, he's one of the best and has 15 years experience with CAD. In a couple of years, if i'm good enough, I should be on £30,000+ which is a good wage.
