I heard a youf being interviewed on Radio 4 the other day...he admitted to carrying a knife, in defence of this he said words to the effect of:
If I get attacked I'll be stabbed...to prevent me being stabbed I carry a knife... if i get caught I get a warning or community service... so the choice is: get stabbed or pick up some litter...thats not a choice.
So punishment needs to be more serious and education needs to be ramped up in a big BIG way.

"Emergency services were called to the scene just before 6.15pm where the man was found lying at the bus stop.
He was rushed to nearby Mayday Hospital, where his son was born a few hours earlier, but was pronounced dead within an hour".
and this all played out in front of his 3 year old daughter.
Truly heart breaking.

When i was young, I was bullied by a scum bag.......I say bullied, but really he was just picking fights.
He came after me with 10 other guys - because I lived in a nicer house than him.
He got caught for burglary when he was 16
He also got done for Rape
This was before he murdered the father of 3 with a hammer at a bus stop. No reason for it whatsoever.
He got a stupid small sentence because he was done for Manslaughter, not murder. I can't remember the details - but I think the guy died from hitting the ground, not from the hammer. Something like that.
Anyway - long story - but I knew this guy was scum - if he had been dealt with properly at the beginning of his crime spree, then that poor chap would still be alive.
I bet this scum that killed this guy is of a similar type. Fry, hang, lock him in a room with the family for a day......whatever......we need tougher punishments for this filth.

I'm afraid it's yet another example of lawless Britian and how we've lost control of the streets, one aspect of this is policing. It's not the Police authorities fault though, they just don't have enough in the way of man power.
Two weeks ago some young punk attacked me with a bottle and damaged my cab, on the same night I turned up just after a young student nurse was attacked, comforting her and seeing her in such an emotional distress hurt me more than the punk who tried to bottle me. Shortly after in the same area a young Polish guy was attacked and beaten by three 'ferals'.
Talking with one of the coppers afterwards, he disclosed they had 8+1, (eight coppers and one sargeant)to cover an area of 200 square miles.
It's a shambles!!

Probably on his way to get some munchies and a coke from the petrol station and got sidetracked. It's easy to forget what you popped out for when you are wasted
