Most exciting job you ever had

I had the best job; I used to work for a Tour Operator and after a few years of moving up the ranks I was awarded the coverted job of Educational Co ordinator.

This meant picking somewhere in the world I fancied going and then taking along 10 or so Travel Agents and getting them royaly pissed in our hotels so they would sell our product.

I was surprisingly good at it

I'm not sure if this qualifies as 'exciting' but I found it interesting

One of my contracts was with an online poker site in fraud analysis. It meant I spent the morning playing poker and the afternoon analysing suspect accounts / data / games. Quite good fun chasing gangsters around cyberspace.

I seem to recall you were at uni only last year (maybe still?), assume you were a fairly normal age to go to uni then Harbour master at your age was going some!

To be honest, the job I have at the moment pretty much tops the lot. I am a sales manager at a company specialising in defence equipment. Get to spend most of my week visiting various parts of the globe, playing on tanks, humvees & other stuff in order to make sure our products are delivering what the guys on the front line need. When I'm not with clients, I am working on growth plans etc.

It's hard work but very, very enjoyable

I make chemicals, they are all different pretty colours and many of them only exist in my hands! I think its exciting. side beneifts are easy access to drug and explosives ingredients.

Thats a lie. Unless you're really a grumpy old scotsman with a hunch back and lots of stories to tell people you've just shouted at. That is what all Harbour Masters are like.

Writing about cars. Ironically, I don't get to drive them as often as I did when I still had a day job, but it beats working in a conventional office. Coincidentally, the last office job I had was working as a development engineer for Ford which that had its moments too...

Working as a chalet host in the alps was pretty cool too.

I still think one of the best jobs I ever did was the first BTCC night race at Snetterton, 98 or 99 I think. It was ace, hot day, barbies everywhere, great racing. Best bit was my footage looked fking ace the following week on the BBC.

It wasn't the most glamorous job ever, but I will never forget working that day.

Right now, working for myself in an industry I adore. Three years ago I was stuck in a job going nowhere with a manager I detested - I stared out of the window wishing I was rich, driving fast cars, living an amazing lifestyle. In the last week I made a £8.6k profit.
