tvr owners club, worth Joining?
Discussion
Yea, thats constructive! But if I wanted to ask how many Italians supported say, Newcastle United, then would I not ask in Italy, or just go as you suggest "must be some Italians in Italy".
So come on, be funny, be incisive, be sarcastic, but be something, dont lame reply like this, cheers.

There are plenty of PHers in the TVRCC. The online community at the TVRCC site is much smaller than PH but the club is also very active with meetings and events across the country throughout the year. Membership also gets you a superb monthly magazine which imo is worth the subscription in its own right.
Their forums are not as busy as here, so I stopped looking after a while. The magazine has some good tech articles and nicely produced, noticed quite alot of racing reports recently that I personally dont find that interesting. Other aspects of the club like meets etc I have not explored.
To be fair give it a go for a year and see what you think. It is nice when going to car shows to see the TVR club stand.

Joined the club mainly for insurance discount, mag nice and shiney, loads about events, but if you like getting your hands dirty you'll be disappointed as the technical section is limited, practically to the point of none existance, don't want to offend the people who put the mag together as it is an excellent production, but as a head under the bonnet sort of person it leaves me wanting.

My sentments exactly. Like the mag but it's nearly all about meets etc. Much more tech info on PH. Also I'm from the Groucho Marx idea of club membership 'I wouldn't want to be a member of a club that would have me as a member!'Swanni said:
The forum on TVR Car Club web is good, but.....
TVR Club Chimaera pages: 21
PH Chimaera pages: 954
A comprehensive win for PHs
I don't think that was the question.... anywayTVR Club Chimaera pages: 21

I'm a member of the TVRCC and I use this forum more than the TVR one, but the TVRCC is much more than a forum or a magazine... the meetings are great opportunity to meet other owners face to face and to admire their cars up close, as are the organised drives and events... and you get some decent discounts which covers your subscription costs easily.
PH used to have meetings up here in the north east, which were also good, but they fizzled out.
Personally I would recommend joining.. both are great sources of information for me... long may them both continue.

We used to have quite a lot of that sort of stuff in but it was discouraged, I think because they could be seen as giving technical advice which could get the club into trouble if it turned out to be bad advice.daz the plumber said:
