"We were forced to introduce the legislation against this indecent practice before the warm weather starts," said Melchior Looser, justice minister in the canton in north-eastern Switzerland.
"The point is many children visit our mountains in the summer," he told he Guardian newspaper.
A naked hiker was detained last autumn, but could not be fined as naked rambling was not outlawed, he said - hence the need for a new law.

A few years back, Mrs Puggit and I were at a back-packers in Plettenberg Bay, SA. The beach was large and deserted, and 2 of our fellow guests - a pair of German young ladies - were sunbathing nude.Think of the sunburns...
That night, when fully clothed in the back-packers, we noticed their arms, faces and torsos were lobster-like sunburnt.

This guy and his bird have been doing it for years. there have been other and I think plenty join this one as well.

I live in Cumbria, and to be honest most drivers would not even notice... they pay no attention to the road - why would they notice that the walkers were naked?!
Despite your link showing a 404 Page Not found error, I do remember that fellow doing the Lands End to John O'Groats walk naked - he passed through Cumbria, and spent a couple of nights in the cells - he spent a lot more time doing porridge when he got into Scotland though!!

Yes he seems to spend a lot of time at her majesties pleasure.
Its mainly him but I seem to remember he had support from naturalist groups who would occasionaly join him on his walks. Can't find any links to that so maybe imagined it. His bird did definitely go with him though
