Flexible pipe to clutch slave ?
Discussion
Clutch slave cylinder is leaking on my 98 Griff so have to replace it or fix it. Having looked at the pipe it occurred to me that a flexible section of some sort may be better than the coiled copper affair that is fitted. Has anybody else done that and if so what did you use? Will have another look at it today but can’t decide if it should be a flexible right from the bulkhead union to the cylinder or just a shorter length between the cylinder and a new fitting half way up the existing length.
Been running one for about 5yrs. Braided, with one section covered in a protective sleeve as I had one fail rubbing against the bell housing,
I use a right angle fitting at the bulk head end and a standard fitting at the other. Measure it up with some string and take both fittings / old pipe to you local hydraulics place and they'll take 10mons to knock you up a new one. Try to get them to orientate the fittings in relation to how it will route in the car as this helps with re-fitting.
