not sure which forum i should post this in but here goes:

thinking about getting a f430. used to have a 355 but to get in into my home car park without grounding front spoiler i needed 2 planks of wood which was a bit of a pain as its a shared car park i couldnt leave them there so had to stop get planks etc etc.

does anyone know of some kind of temporary ramp that could be used to smooth out the angle (basically where the ramp meets the car park area) and also does anyone know the relative ground clearance of a 430 vs 355.

thanks all

The F430 has more ground clearance than the 355. It can be a royal pain to go over speed bumps in a 355, its not so bad in a 430. Also the front bumper on a 430 is higher of the ground than a 355.

thanks, agreed it looks like it does have a bit more vertical clearance. any view on the forward overhang - think it was the distance forward from the front wheels to the spoiler pointing towards the ground as you descend the ramp that was causing the issue

hi

every time i use to come out my drive way i use to scrape my 430 againtst the fllor and hear a really horriable noise which would make me cry to think there's another couple grand going to graypaul. but what suprised me is that the 430 has like a sort os shield which protects the unerside bumper so when it does hit, it doesnt cause damage.

i too had this issue and found slight differences in various 430's ride heights
it appears that the 430's suspension is fully adjustable, including a little scope for adjusting the ride height
i eventually went down the lambo with lifting gear route

Andy

i have same prob and solution , ie wooden planks for the cs ! i fitted hill skid plates on the 355 and had no more scrapping problems. i have them also on CS but would ground out front and rear w/out the planks. I'm looking at getting a couple of these plastic ramps , contact manufacturer direct as they only supply to selected distributors. Hope this helps
