..how easy is it to "mileage correct" a Gallardo and how do you check if one isnt clocked? Are E-gears impossible to clock as the Ferrari F1 system? How can you be 100% sure that those 10k are genuine and its not 30K?

As with the Ferrari system Lambo logs the mileage in several places including gearbox, so any car that has the mileage doctored will be sussed out as it's recorded else where, as was found out with a certain black Enzo !!!!!

I think there is no such thing as a car that cant be clocked its just how far you want to go with it.

I'm sure that someone from a Main Dealer may be able to vouch for the number of Murci's that have been in for new Speedo Pod's after suddenly Oddometer Failure. They were supposedly uncrackable but as with all electronics if you spend long enough someone will always work it out.

As for the Enzo it just goes to show you people will clock anything!

Doesn't this just prove that its better to buy on condition rather than mileage? A friend of mine took me along once to view a 7 series at a main dealer. It said 25k miles on the blurb but the finish was worn off some of the buttons on the dash and it generally looked pretty lived in.

I agree, buy on condition. I have seen a LP560-4 which is now forsale spent it's first 500 miles around Brands. Now that maybe a good thing, but there again it may not ...

anything can be clocked these days and all memories can be adjusted without anyone knowing. Buy on condition I say.
