Does anyone have any experience of claims handling,payouts,admin etc for these people.
They have quoted the cheapest and very helpful -£527-fully comp-5000 miles limit-protected no claims for my Griffith 1996 value £17k approx living in Surrey. I am 38

I just want to see if anyone has had any real poor experiences before i go ahead.

Took a couple of weeks to sort out but - all sorted now, paid up no questions asked...

No 1 guys, I have used them for nearly all my years of TVR ownership(5.6yrs) and had an accident last year and they where very quick and helpful in the payout. Mind you there wasnt anyone else involved in the accident. Cheapest by far aswell.

5000 miles is quite a low limit. I may need to raise this on renewal to 7500 or more. Anyone know whether:

- they allow this
- they are still competitive with a higher miles limit

yep 7500 is ok plus its easy to start at 5k if you know its not enough it can be increased at any time for a very reasonable fee

had a very ugly claim in 2000. classicline were spot on. the legal cover i had through them was top notch. 9 months later we were at a stale mate, my car was repared and the incident recorded as non fault.. incidently if you ever see a Blue lorry Reg X738 XNG, please avoid it. it has been involved in over 6 cases of police investigation, but they have never been found guilty of hit and run. If you know here it is, please tell me .. I need to have a word or three with the driver

Impressed with Classicline - first TVR insurance was £500ish last year, just signed up with Classicline at £346 (and only £250 XS, not the previous £500) for the coming year, agreed value and limited mileage. Bonus is that if you go over your mileage limit, they'll let you add extra miles on. Breakdown cover inc. also. Seem good value

I agree totally. Have been with 'Others' for 2 years. Was quoted £800+ for this year, with no changes to circumstances Classicline came up with £600.....They get my business this year

Enquired last week - Classicline will only cover TVRCC trackdays. Still get my vote though - saved me over £200 and very friendly and helpful.

Not true - will cover any formally organised MARSHALLED events. Confirmed when renewing this year and they have covered EvoActive, TVRCC, EasyTrack etc ones for me.

mmm not that helpfull they will only do garaged and wont even cover it if its got different wheels...

When I got my policy I asked because they hinted that it was organised track-days, but they said it was for car club ones only.

However if they do professionally organised events like Bookatrack and TrakZone I'd be over the moon, as I'm looking at a minimum of £100 per day cover otherwise.

I got my cover for £450 from ClassicLine when the next best this year was £800, so certainly can't complain about their prices.

£550 for the Tuscan for 5k miles - I did use the breakdown cover (which is included in the policy) when the clutch went at Le Mans this year, they took the car home on a truck no questions asked. They then arranged a taxi to drive me and my mate to CDG from Le Mans and flew us both home to Heathrow with transfer from Heathrow home!

Had renewal come through and no increase in premiums.

I would use them again and its worth factoring the breakdown cover into your total running costs

Now that is not bad at all, I've a friend who just spent £250 for a days cover on his Tuscan. If it's cost of repairs-based my S3 will be a lot lower than £50 too

Ian Fray is the parent company of ClassicLine, but when I asked ClassicLine about supplemental track cover for not TVRCC days they didn't mention anything..
