Hi - sounds like a sorted car you have there. Enjoy it but be carefull in this weather as they bite very hard when provoked!

Dear Ross,

yes, my first. I've fancied one since I saw the Fifth Gear VXR500 test, what a noise smile

I've kept an eye out for just this sort of spec. Apart from the lack of a supercharger and VXR 'tis perfect.
Big boot and any colour other than black,

regards,
Jet

Dear S600VXR,

I'm aware of the biting potential. That'll be me doing 60 in the inside lane of the M4 coming home smile
The last RWD car I had was an E30 Alpina C2 2.7 which could be, er, exciting. Lift off oversteer caught me out...
...once, fortunately no harm done except to pants.
I say last RWD car, that is apart from my A35 which can also be encouraged, remould crossies. Thinks, must get them changed,

regards,
Jet

Welcome to the mad bad world of Monaro ownership, prepare to be poor but happy.

I love the CV8 in Devil Yellow, must admit I thought of bidding myself cos she`s a real good`n (would have died a slow painful one had I though )

There`s plenty going on here so I expect we`ll see you out there.

You can go a bit faster than that before they bite (unless the weather forecast is correct and it snows...)I think that they are really controllable, and only bite when provoked. Welcome to the forum, you'll love the car!

Dear All,

thanks for all the welcomes.

I've just spoken to the vendor (hi steve) and I should be picking it up next weekend.

There's a already a black Monaro in my area, I occasionally go past it in Cann Lane. Are you out there?

...Jim Reeves?

regards,
Colin

Dear All,

picked up today (snow & idiot bank's cash withdrawal limit caused the delay) and yes, it does fit in the garage, carefully.

Gave it the Heinz through Brynglas tunnel on the way home braaarrrp to the red line (well it would be rude not to). Mrs Noise had to remind me to shut the window afterwards biglaugh

Ride is firm, turn in sharp for such a big car. Initial oddness in heaviness of gearshift/clutch vs. lightness of steering and brakes soon goes.
Needs a decent stereo - neither RDS for the traffic bulletins nor LW for the cricket,

regards,
Jet

could do with more power though

I didn't really mean that, just sounds like the right thing to say smile

Dear broadslide,

yes, a bit past Swansea out on the Gower, nice place.

I'm just out to wash the car, then I'll have to give it a short run to dry off the brakes won't I? smile

Jet
