If you have access to a pit or hoist 2 or 4 poster (2 poster is best) then its easy to get to the front of the engine as I have found out,its an easy car to work on especially if you have a cutting torch and a big hammer and chisel
jus kidding I found the best tool to have is a Makita drill driver with hammer action then all the screws that you have to remove from the engine bottom cover and side panels come out alot easier without stripping the heads or ringing them off .

Thanks Tigersix,i have access to a 2 post lift and a pit so it should not be to much of a issue.....and there just happens to be a makita drill driver with hammer in my tool box !! looks like i just need bits then ..
Crack on then chap if you want any pics then I took loads off mine before I stripped it out, they are very simple to work on and you will see loads of areas for improvement.

Thanks mate exhaust seems to be the most important job some of the bolts are just falling apart !!! any pictures would be good !!!
I will mail you a pic of the exhaust that was done by Noble Motorsport if you get the urge to go Stainless steel, but if you just change the nut n bolts use stainless save yourself work at a later date if your going to keep it for a long time.CheersTuxMan said:

Re 1 Heat sheild. I have seen one of these re fitted by a well respected techie with a New small L/U shape bracket & pop rivited to existing sheild. Saves a lot of time & money plus better job.1....heat sheild above front turbo has broken off mount and is rattleing ,best place to get a new one ??

Re 4 Exhaust - The flanges are a standard size, so gaskets and bolts available from a good exhaust place
