Recently a friend of mine in the mini fraternity suggested putting the quite popular Angel eyes on to an S as the head lights are the same as the classic Mini, when I was thinking of putting them on my mini.
Yay? or Nay?
WTF are angel eyes
I think they are the chrome 'eye lash like' outer ring that normally goes on the mini.............if I am right I would say its a big no no........! They might make a mini look cute, but who wants a TVR that looks cute??
No, not the headlamp peaks. This would make the S look stupid. I reckon they make a mini look stupid as well. They are as above like the BMW lights where the outer ring lights up when side lights are turned on.
I can get a set cheap, friend doesn't want them, so was considering fitting them to the S.

Not sure if they are any better. If they are then I'd probably switch.
Would Photoshop it, but need to do some textures for a tow truck at work today, and after work I'm starting work on modelling an S3!!
Just thought I'd get the general consensus.
How accurately are you going to be modelling the S3 and how long do you expect it to take. I am a 3D modeller myself.
Roy.
Not incredibly accurately as I model for games, just getting the prooportions right. But I can do it more accurately if needed. Will probably do it in subdivison surfaces, without a removable bonnet. Just opening doors. Possibly do it with the roof, but not sure, depends on whether I can be bothered to set up the bones for the roof to fold or not.
Why?
Will be using 3D studio Max, or XSI. Depends on when I start, if at work max, if at home XSI.
Are you professional Rozza?

I'd say Yay.. afterall, when you havent got the lights on, there is no difference and they would doubtless look nice when switched on.

I recon they would look pretty sweet - are they pricey?

I just wondered just out of interest. I do model professionally - I design plastic injection mould tools in 3D, but we just deal with surfaces and solids, none of that bones and kinematics etc..
