New Labour supporters tell us why - - - - here....
Discussion
Hi all,
I am keen to understand why some people support them. Anyone out there explain why New Labour are a good option for GB PLC? If 28% or so of the population will vote NL then there must be a fair few here.
Please concentrate on NL, not why the tories would do a worse job, John Prescott shouts about this enough and it makes you look thick.
Some of you may have guessed that I am not a fan of New Lab.. So what.
Yes we know PH has a significant Tory majority. So what tell us why NL deserves your vote.

I'm a Labour voter but right now I would probably vote blue just to get a change in leadership and maybe inspire a bit of confidence in the markets for investors. I rekon the conservatives would at least put a bit of confidence in the bloody currency.
Bye bye at the next election though!

I guess its my genetic programing reinforced by my social and economic experience ,I've known quite a few well off people and a fair few tories but most of them I'd be happy to see against a wall, and those last tory days..honestly what disgraceful s

oh no, I don't actually give my money to poor people! It's just that I believe that nobody deserves to have more chances in life/money/education/intelligence than anyone else.
Out of interest how do you regulate intelligence? Is it give everyone straight A's, a degree and 30K of student debt?DangerousMike said:

And I think that's the point. No-one does have more 'chance'. Some people make their own luck and chances tho'. Others don't, but demand that things are handed to them on a plate. It's that demanding that is the problem - or, more accurately, whether they are given what they demand.

I support New Labour because they spin and lie. I support New Labour because they claim credit for a boom fuelled by out of control debt, then blame the rest of the world when it goes tits up, then Save The World, halleluja, by killing interest rates and borrowing even more, to be chiselled out of me and my children and grandchildren in years to come. I support New Labour because they appoint corrupt, money grabbing peers. I support New Labour because they heap new laws and restrictions on me and steal my freedom and impose charges, fines and penalties for doing nothing much wrong. I support New Labour because they never listen to what I want, but always know what's best for me. I support New Labour because they always roll over to the demands of Brussels and pay all my taxes to Europe, who build nice roads over there while potholes smash my car to bits every day. I support New Labour because they want to take away my car and make me travel on buses and trains with people who smell of wee and spit a lot. My car is bad. I did not understand this until New Labour told me. I support New Labour because they give women power in government. New Labour opened my eyes and showed me how bloody imcompetent women can be. I support New Labour because they make me a good person by taking away all my money to control the climate and save the planet. I could go on, but I'm so happy I'm going to offer up my children in sacrifice to Gordon Brown....praise be for New Labour
Makes you feel warm all over, doesn't it..?Gunny Sergeant D said:

People with better balance are given shoes with differing sole thicknesses to put them off balance again.
