I made it in to the City via the Kings Ferry coaches from Kent (they'd run even if there were no roads).

Only problem is, now that limehouse is closed (which by the way - if you need to drive to C wharf today, forget about it, it's locked down), I'm just wondering how I'm going to get home!

Are the trains running out of London? Or suspended both ways? What about cannon street services?

Should've stayed in bed - yes, I know, but I had an important meeting with a UK exec today, not that there's much chance he would have made it in either!

Just about to climb out of bed and walk into Canary Wharf. Living in Limehouse certainly has some benefits...

Luckily I can walk to work, 10min to Bond St.

Usual 10min walk turned into a 40min slippery slide

Made it in one piece...just

I'm thrilled that having made the effort to get into the City there is no one else here in my office - including my boss so it all seems like a wasted effort!!
The City looks like a Sunday. I knew I should have stayed at home and made a snowman!

I made it into work at Cannon St. I get the train into Liverpool St from deepest darkest Essex.

Not sure how i am going to make it hom if the reported 7-10 inches fall over the course of the day. Will have to keep an eye on the train services, i refuse to be stranded in London!

Made it in from the Essex side of the Dartford bridge ok this morning by train, although my boss who is just the other side of the river is stuffed.

I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather and the train website all day, if it starts to look bad I'll be out of here quicker than an Arctic Hare!

PS. I think I saw a Polar Bear near Bank earlier ... global warming my arse!

If it's the C2C one you're looking at keep trying, it's struggling but manages to load occasionally.

That's why I didn't go in. Didn't want to get stuck trying to get home. Bet it looks brilliant in the city though, never thought we'd see snow in London !

Excellent idea - I can buy one and then convince the Mrs it was the only way to get home! Every other tactic to buy one has failed!
