If you are stuck at home today because of the weather, why not put some food out for the birds?

It's amazing how anything can actually survive outside in these conditions!!

Yep, you will get tons in on days like this - I had a female Blackcap in the garden yesterday, they used to migrate but have changed over the last 20 years and quite a few stay here now.

I put out food every day for the 10-20 pheasant who visit us each morning.

Today and when it's frosty I also put out Digestive biscuits which is a good sugar boost I was told, and if there is any cake left over I tend to give them that too.

Cleaned the snow off the feeders this morning, and have put out extra peanuts, seed and mealworms.

Cat didn't fancy the snow this morning so is asleep on the bed, all the local birds and squirrels should have it a bit safer today.

Fat Balls.
I got some of those free at the supermarket yesterday. The checkout operator had just finished scanning all the other items and then I looked down to the bottom of the trolley to see them still there. I looked the checkout guy straight in the face and said:

"Would you like to scan my fat balls?"
to which he replied "No thank you sir", so I thought "Fair enough, your choice really" confused

Bit early to be on the sauce, isn't it?

I think I'm on a heightened euphoric plane as I don't have to endure that Monday morning meeting from hell. Some sauce would be nice wink

There, I edited it so it makes a little more sense smile

No, though it would have been quieter if I had.
