Guys, some advise please from those that have done it.

I am considering changing my standard setup for fast road Nitrons.
Anyone done it and if so, what advantage did you see/feel?
Did you flat floor or just by eye? How much? Where from? Was it a PITA job or easy?
Cheers

Nitrons make a big difference over the standard units, fitting is easy but car should be set up properly as in ride height and corner weighting etc.
For road use try 12-16 clicks out from fully in and for track 8-10 turns out from fully in.

I shall be wanting a set of Nitrons myself, so see if Nitron will give you a discount if you order an additional "spare" set.

The mechanical bit of actually fitting them is easy to do. My advice would be to take it to Dave at Brunters. These guys really know what they're doing. When they did mine (2.5) they fitted everything for me, adjusted the ride height, cornerweights and got me out on track for some setting up. What more could you ask!

The difference is well worth it. It's a different car!

Guys.
I have these on my car, just the 1 way adjustable ones with the nitron springs. IMO they are a bit too oversprung and damped (Ive tried quite a few different settings) for the road compared to the standard ones which in hindsight were just right.

On the track though a much different story, I've only had it round Donnington where I can compare before and after, but down through Craners before it under steered alarmingly through the left hander at circa 105.
After turned in without understeer over 110 but was my choice not to go any faster !
I would not go for the Eibach options as the are meant to be even more track biased if you do more road work !

Hope this helps

That's odd as the Eibach springs get better reviews on the road from my TVR friends and the local TVR specialist says the Nitron springs are not as consistent as the Eibach ones.

Having had a couple of sets of these I would go for Eibach each time, or better still Ohlins.

Yep I agree the Eibachs are normally a bit more progressive but this was information fron Nitron when I was ordering my set.

Yes Nitron tell people that but I have to say the proof of the pudding is in the eating and the eibach springs are much better.

Ok, If any one has a set fitted with the eibachs I would like to compare the two, as if they are better then I would get a set on order !!
